About Dr. Jessica J. Haug

ImageDr. Jessica J. Haug, also known as Dr. Jay, is a graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU), in Bloomington, MN, where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree.  Dr Jay is originally from Duluth, MN where she graduated from high school before attending the University of North Dakota.  She received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2006 from UND.  While at UND, Dr Jay played division II women's basketball for the Fighting Sioux.  During this time, Dr Jay realized her drive and passion towards helping athletes with their injuries.   Upon graduation from NWHSU, Dr Jay relocated to Arizona and established Cornerstone Chiropractic Clinic in Peoria, AZ.

Dr. Jay's chiropractic story began when she was 9 years old.  While playing recreational softball, she injured her hip and was unable keep up with the rest of her teammates.  Dr. Jay's parents took her to the family chiropractor, who took x-rays, preformed adjustments, and provided stretches and exercises for Dr. Jay to do at home and before every sporting event.  While in high school, Dr. Jay would suffer from neck pain, upper back pain as well as severely sprained ankles.  Dr. Jay again turned to her chiropractor for help.  Not only did her neck and back pain go away but she recovered more quickly from the sprained ankles, all while being able to resume play more quickly, not missing a play while sitting on the bench. While playing at the collegiate level, Dr. Jay experienced a spell of severe low back pain.  Dr. Jay yet again turned towards chiropractic for help.  To this day Dr. Jay credits her athletic career to her chiropractor.

Dr. Jay primarily focuses her education and practice on treating athletes, helping to heal sports related injuries, pediatric chiropractic as well as treating the whole family. In her spare time, you can find Dr. Jay participating in recreational co-ed softball, playing basketball, and teaching the basic sports fundamentals to 18 month old kids up to the age of 7. She enjoys living an active healthy life filled with sports, outdoor endeavors and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Jay is a board certified Chiropractic Physician, board certified in Physiotherapy, and a board Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). Dr Jay is an Assistant Coach for Glendale Community College women's basketball team, and provides chiropractic services to the Liberty High School girls basketball team as well to the athletes at Allied Crossfit. She is currently a member of the BNI chapter Arrowhead Legends of AZ.
